Moms In Business Network New Feature Saves Mom Time
by mibnpress

Moms In Business Network uses old technology in new, innovative way to give busy moms
the information they need in less time and with less hassle.

(Nevada) February 1, 2008 – On January 30th, 2008, Moms In Business Network launched its first “audio newsletter” to help moms in business save time by offering subscribers an option to listen to their weekly newsletter while doing something else instead of stopping everything to read the popular e-newsletter.
Designed specifically for the multi-minding, multi-tasking, time-strapped executive mom, this audio newsletter can be downloaded onto the computer, or saved to an ipod or iphone and listened to later.  The newsletter services moms well, who need to keep working, but can listen to their information while working at their computer or driving in the car.

“We were receiving information, that our newsletter was great, moms loved it, and when they had time to read it, they usually copied it for others in their office,” says MIBN’s founder and president, Gina Robison-Billups, “From this, we realized the newsletter needed to be more mom-friendly, and that meant giving her options that gave her the information while she worked on something else.  An audio newsletter became the obvious solution.”
Although the technology was relatively simple, Robison-Billups admits the thought of recording her voice was intimidating not to mention it is one more thing added to her weekly “to-do” list.  She considered using a professional voice service to record the newsletters, but felt it would lack that personal touch.

Once the new format gets going smoother, Robison-Billups has plans to do live interviews in the newsletter with business experts and professionals to make the newsletter more interesting.  She’s currently trying to figure out how to do all that, and still keep the newsletter shorter than five minutes.

The updated newsletter format features the audio play button at the top of the newsletter and the text, for those who wish to read it, lower on the page.  To listen to the current audio newsletter and archived newsletters, you can visit www.mibn.org
