MIBN Offers $20,000 in Grant Money to Business Owners
by MIBN

The Leading Grants for Mom Business Owners is Raised to a Total of $20,000

(Nevada) March 23, 2008 -   Moms In Business Network is announcing that the Create Your Dreams Business Grants have increased in value by 100%.  The grants are now worth $10,000 each for a total of $20,000 that will be given to two mom business owners at the Create Your Dreams Awards Gala on May 10th at the Loews Resort Hotel in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada.

The grants are given to one start up business and one expanding business. The grants award $1000.00 cash to help women start a business, and another $9,000 in essential expert business-building services and consulting. All business types are encouraged, including network marketing companies and service oriented businesses.

The organization was able to raise their grant value by 100% from previous year's grants due to the generous and supportive donations from:  Janice Marie Wilson Success Coach: STATUS Group, LLC Business Consultants; Image Words Public Relations; PR Newswire; Balanced Organizing Solutions; Certify to Success; The Effectiveness Club, and Wasabi Publicity 24/7 PressKit.

Moms In Business Network offers the grant to moms because of the lack of expert support and funding available to mom business owners.  Women own over 9 million businesses, yet they receive the least amount of financing from traditional sources such as banks and venture capital firms. Women traditionally own smaller types of businesses that don't need financial assistance of $250,000 or more, and so financing options are limited.

Business grants can be difficult to obtain. Most businesses are created with loans which rely on good credit histories and collateral that women (and mothers in particular) may have a hard time supplying due to divorce, medical expenses, and just the high cost of raising children. Women often use their credit cards or borrow from family members in order to start a business, which can make their own finances uncomfortable.

Women interested in applying for the grant can read more about the grant program at www.mibn.org.

About Moms In Business Network
Moms In Business Network is the leading association in the U.S. representing moms who are business owners, corporate executives and decision makers.  Mothers influence everything...from what we eat, to the way we dress, to what we drive.  There are 64 million working mothers in the U.S., and 80% of them control household purchasing decisions. They buy for an average of 3 or more people, and spend nearly $2 trillion annually -- the same purchasing power as Great Britain.  64% of female corporate leaders have children, and 44% of the over 10 million women business-owners have children under 18.  more information about moms in business can be found at
