The event will include a cocktail reception, live entertainment, silent auction, dinner and awards show. Ticket prices start at $150 per person.
“We are extremely excited and honored to have approval from the National Center to raise money on their behalf,” says Gina Robison-Billups, national president of Moms In Business Network, “So many times we see news programs on television about abducted children like Ben Ownsby, or children separated from their families as with Hurricane Katrina, and we feel helpless. This event provides inspiration and a way for working mothers to make a difference. "It is the work of organizations like NCMEC that literally save our children, and our two organizations intends to do everything we can to support NCMEC's mission.”
The event presents six award categories: Working Mother of the Year Award, Luminary Award, Working Mother Advocate Award, Create Your Dreams Award, Woman of Courage Award, Company of the Year Award. For each category there will be a national award winner and three state finalists representing the state of Nevada.
Previous award winners have included: Carol Bernick, Chairman of Alberto-Culver, Lillian Vernon of the Lillian Vernon Catalog Co., MGM Mirage Corporation, and Linda Pauling, founder of the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the League of United Latin American Citizens.
Mothers influence everything...from what we eat, to the way we dress, to what we drive. Of the 82 Million Moms in the U.S. - 74% of them work, 80% of them control household purchasing decisions, they buy for an average of 3 or more people, and spend nearly $2 TRILLION annually. That’s the same purchasing power as Great Britain! 64% of female corporate leaders have children, and 44% of the over 10 million women business-owners have children under 18. Today’s mom drives our business economy, and Moms In Business Network is the only association that represents her. http://www.mibn.org
