KNPR and Moms In Business Network Team Up for Charity
by MIBN

January 1, 2005 - Las Vegas, NV - Moms In Business Network (MIBN) and KNPR, Southern Nevada’s National Public Radio Station, have teamed up to better serve both KNPR’s Community Partner Program and MIBN’s Charitable Giving Program.

At every MIBN luncheon, MIBN conducts a prize drawing in which 100% of the money raised goes to benefit that month’s showcased charity.  At many luncheons the benefiting charity has a matching donor that matches all the monies collected at the luncheon.

KNPR Community Partner Program gives airtime to a different charitable organization each month to give that organization exposure for the great ways they make a difference in our community.  Their program is sponsored by Wells Fargo.

MIBN and KNPR have now teamed up to make both of their programs stronger.

The first organization to benefit from this partnership was the Assistance League of Southern Nevada a non-profit organization that provides services in individual communities through philanthropic projects. Assistance League chapters/guilds develop, fund and staff philanthropic projects that members have identified after conducting a community-needs assessment.

The MIBN luncheons are held at Maggiano’s in Las Vegas on the third Thursday of every month. MIBN’s monthly drawing will benefit KNPR’s Community Partner for that corresponding month.  KNPR has been named as the sponsor of MIBN’s Charitable Giving Program.
