IS IT OK TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE WEBSITE?
Yes, it is certainly OK to have more than one website. In fact, I recommend it.
Each one of your websites should be built around specific conversion strategy or action strategy, that is, what do you want the visitor to do?
A great site has a conversion strategy or action strategy for everyone who visits your site from someone just looking for support resources to someone wishing to join your community to someone who just MUST HAVE your products or services.

If you travel a lot, create a checklist of the items you take care of every time you travel such as contact the pet sitter, stop & start newspaper delivery, move plants to either get light or less light while gone, set thermostat, set light timers, change answering machine and transportation plans to and from airport. Then when it's time to make sure you've handled all necessary actions before you hit the road, you will spend less time rethinking when needs to be done.

Tips on Dealing with Change
1- Focus on one change at a time. While we can learn to accept and manage change, piling numerous changes up all at once can become too overwhelming, even for the most flexible of us. Managing change in one area of your life is easier when you have other areas that remain familiar and comforting.
2- Exercise patience with yourself. When things change significantly, accept that you will not be able to master them all right away. If you're dealing with updated computer systems, a shakeup in business operations, or any other major business change, things will take time. Give yourself a break, and don't add to your stress by trying to become a whiz at everything overnight.
3- Ask productive questions. Ask yourself questions that will make a positive difference, such as, "How can I help facilitate the transition?" or "How will I need to adjust my daily schedule to accommodate this new process?" Avoid asking "whys," and instead learn to move forward by asking questions that will help you become comfortable with the changes.
4- Take control. Change is stressful because it threatens a person's sense of control. Don't allow a powerless feeling to overwhelm you; face new challenges head-on. Focus on how you can make it work for you.

(excerpted from Marketing2Moms eCourse)
Time is the new commodity - not cash. For moms, that is especially true, so here are some key elements to remember in all your marketing and business decisions.
Consumers are driven not only by income and socio-economic factors but also by how they can buy time for a price. This presents several opportunities to marketers of products and services.
In the past few decades, salaries have exploded, placing large amounts of discretionary income at the hands of the consumers.
Moms, however, are still driven by the old conditioning of saving money and spending time - so if you can save her both, you will get her attention.
Most consumers are trading away money to buy time because they find that they can make more money doing what they do best and if they outsource, mom can have more time with her family.
When products or services are being considered in a business plan, the process should take into account the target audience and their needs. Often, the need or lack of creating extra time in a person's life is not consciously factored in the business owner's judgment of relevance of the product or service.
Consider how your products and services that would fit in more with the lifestyles of the target group, this awareness would help create communication which is extremely meaningful and carries impact. |

Moms Making A Difference
Ms. Jenkins Goes to Washington!
Leanna Jenkins, mortgage consultant with Cornerstone Mortgage and mother of one son, has been a devoted member of Moms In Business Network from the beginning, but recently she has stepped up to speak out.
Leanna has taken on the big task of bringing MIBN of Nevada to the next level. Yes, you read right, Nevada (the whole state). She's also stepped up as the Public Policy Leader representing the moms of Nevada politically.
In just a few short weeks, Leanna will be flying to Washington DC where she will be meeting on behalf of the uninsured of Nevada with Nevada Senators and Congressional Representatives to educate them on how the healthcare crisis is affecting the business and the people of Nevada.
Leanna was first motivated to join MIBN because she's a mom and a business woman- what she has unexpectedly found is an even greater sense of purpose and impact on her community.
Leanna has already had a big impact on her local MIBN Circle by leading her team to create a whole new event schedule that better meets the needs of its members, and she, with the help of Asst. Circle Leader, Barb Trznadel, pulled off the first community "town hall meeting" of moms in business to discuss healthcare with the people that take this information to Washington.
Leanna sees a grand vision for Moms In Business Network of Nevada, and part of that vision is taking the steps necessary to finally create a healthcare system that works for everyone.
